The Strand Hotel in Limerick city has been put up for sale for €17 million, according to a report in the Limerick Leader.
The hotel, which was built in 2007 at a cost believed to be in excess of €40 million, has 184 bedrooms, several bars and restaurants, conference and banqueting facilities and a leisure club.
The hotel has been doing well and is understood to have made over €1.5 million in profit last year. The hotel benefits from an ideal location near Thomond Park and Páirc na nGael and also has strong corporate business trade.
Savills and CBRE are handling the sale.
Other well-known hotels for sale in Limerick at the moment include The Savoy and Adare Manor.
