Three New Restaurant Openings In Dublin This Week

Popular Dublin eatery Crackbird has moved from its original location on Dame Street to a brand new premises at 34/35 South William Street.

As reported by lovindublin.com, the restaurant will still be serving all of its established poultry dishes such as buttermilk chicken and wings by the dozen, with a focus on lunch and dinner menus. Takeaway and breakfast options are set to follow in the near future.

Commenting on the relocation, Crackbird owner Joe Macken proclaimed it will be "Crackbird with added craic."

Pizza restaurant Skinflint, which is also owned by Macken, will be setting up shop in the premises previously occupied by Crackbird at 60 Dame Street.

Meanwhile, the city has also just gotten a new steakhouse complements of the Press Up Group, which is the company behind the Workman's Club, Roberta's Bar & Restaurant, and Dollard & Co Food Market and Grill.

Titled Tomahawk, the new steakhouse is located in the basement of the old Dollard Printworks on Essex Street in Temple Bar and features a variety of beef dishes, including black angus striploin, 24 oz ribeyes and t-bones.

Outlining her hopes for the venue, Tomahawk head chef Barra Hurley asserted, "We want people to enjoy their beef like they would wines, whiskeys or cheeses, experiencing the different flavour notes due to the aging, smoking and cooking processes on the charcoal burning grill. We hope they visit Tomahawk time and again to expand their palate and have a brilliant culinary experience."
