Tourism Ireland Organises Tourism Networking Event In Toulouse

Irish and French tourism businesses came together in Toulouse last week to take part in a B2B workshop and networking event organised by Tourism Ireland. The businesses met with local travel agents to inform and educate them about Ireland and, in particular, the country's lesser-known attractions.

This is the first in a series of four Tourism Ireland workshops which will take place in France throughout 2019 with the aim of highlighting ease of access from Ireland to France and delivering more business to Ireland’s regions in the off-peak season. Further workshops will take place in Lyon, Bordeaux and Nice.

"An Excellent Opportunity"

Tourism Ireland’s Manager Southern Europe, Monica MacLaverty, commented, "Our workshop and networking event was an excellent opportunity to meet, and do business with, travel agents in Toulouse, ensuring that Ireland is 'top of mind' for the travel agents this year when recommending and booking holidays for their clients. With an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Toulouse operating all year round, our aim is to highlight ease of access to Ireland for people living in this part of France. We are also aiming to drive growth to the regions, and to encourage French holiday-makers to travel to Ireland in the shoulder season months."
