Trinity City Hotel Renamed

Situated opposite Trinity College on Dublin's busy Pearse Street, Trinity City Hotel launched its renaming yesterday with an eye- and ear-catching drum-heavy party. Formerly known as the Trinity Capital Hotel, the name change comes on the back of a huge €2-million investment pledge in the property during this year and next.

The 198-bedroom hotel is an elegant amalgamation of a number of different historically interesting buildings on Pearse Street - somehow muted of traffic noise through the clever use of windows - where the first buildings on the site were constructed in the early 1800s.

Some of the hotel’s bedrooms are in the listed Georgian building element of the property, the georgian suites, with the elegant proportions of Dublin’s most famous architectural style, high ceilings, and original coving and cornicing.

For anyone who partied around the area ten years ago, Trinity City Hotel's executive suites sit where the old Fireworks club used to be. Many rooms have wonderful city views and others on the higher floors can see all the way to the Dublin Mountains. "Little things make a big difference when you’re away from home, so from the superfast and always free 200Mb fibre broadband and WiFi throughout the property to the White Company amenities in guestrooms, every tiny detail that can contribute to the overall comfort of the Trinity City guest has been thoughtfully considered," the hotel beamed in a statement. "With new mattresses to ensure the best possible sleep and luxurious new sheets and towels, with 24 hour room service, and the bar and café remaining open later than ever too, the Trinity City Hotel is the perfect base for exploring and enjoying everything Dublin has to offer."
