Dublin's Cineworld Complex Set For New 250-seater Restaurant

UK restaurant chain Wings International is planning to open a new 250-seater restaurant in the basement of one of Ireland's busiest cinemas.

The Irish Independent reports that the family-owned company is set to open its first Irish outlet at the Cineworld complex on Dublin's Parnell Street, with it said to be in discussions about leasing the 1,300 sq m basement of the premises, which Cineworld management has told Dublin City Council has been vacant for years.

The Cineworld complex houses 17 screens and an Imax and is reported to be one of the five busiest cinemas across the UK and Ireland.

On its website, Wings International describes itself "All You Can Eat Global Buffet", offering a range of cuisines, including Indian, Thai, Chinese, Italian and Japanese.

The move into Ireland follows news that another UK restaurant chain, Zizzi, will enter the Irish market next month with the opening of a new eatery in the Pembroke District of Dundrum Town Centre.
