Just Eat Announce Increase in Full Year Revenues

Takeaway service Just Eat has announced that its full year revenues have increased by 58%.

Its 2015 figures see revenues of £247 million (€317m), a 58% increase on the £157 million figure of 2014.

Just Eat operates in 15 countries including Ireland, India and the UK. The Irish Times reports the company's underlying earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation was up 83% to £59.7 million, as against £32.6 million a year earlier.

Orders at the company rose 57% to 96.2 million from 61.2 million with the group processing orders worth £1.7 billion for restaurants.

Just Eat was launched in Ireland May 2007 and it is the third largest market for the group. The company has more than 750,000 active site users in Ireland in 2014 and processes more than 150,000 orders per month. It employs about 40 people locally.

Just Eat Chief Executive David Buttress said: “Our ability to increase and manage choice for consumers, while supporting restaurants with technology and marketing that creates value, resulted in continued strong global growth in our business in 2015.”
