C&C Group will expand its distribution partnership with San Miguel in Asia with the launch of its Magners cider from 1 July throughout Taiwan.
Last February saw the two companies agree on a distribution partnership for Thailand, and this latest deal will see them work together on sales and marketing in what is currently Asia's largest cider market, with volumes in excess of 20,000 hectolitres per annum. The cider market is currently seeing a growth of 69 per cent in terms of volume year-on-year.
Conor Hardy, Regional Director of C&C Group’s Asia Pacific Division, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for C&C Group to extend its partnership with San Miguel to another key Asian market. Given the attractive cider growth trajectory we observe in Taiwan this synergistic collaboration will strengthen Magners route to market and will position Magners to participate in future category growth.“
