The fast casual dining market in Ireland is forecast to grow at three times the rate of overall market growth.
The rise of better quality fast food outlets is a key driver, with consumers prepared to dig a little deeper for a better quality meal. Burgers are right at the heart of the trend, but in today’s highly competitive gourmet burger market, the traditional patty and bun doesn’t always cut it.
While the famed Sushi burger might be a step too far for some, operators will need to innovate if they are to capitalise on the ‘better burger’ trend. That’s why Hellmann’s has launched its ‘Grilltopia’ campaign.
Rhodri Morgan, Hellmann’s marketing manager at Unilever Food Solutions, said: "Not all burgers are created equal. In today’s highly competitive market, operators need to offer something special. That’s why we’ve launched our ‘Grilltopia’ campaign – to encourage operators to bring out the best and take their customers to burger heaven.
