Total Produce FoodService Launches New Website

From humble acorns mighty oaks grow, they say. Having begun as a modest fruit & vegetable shop in Dundalk in the 1850s, Total Produce is an Irish success story, evolving into Ireland and then Europe’s largest fresh produce distributor. Here at home, Total Produce operates out of 13 depots across the island.

Total Produce FoodService, the group’s specialist unit dedicated to customising produce and services for the catering sector, has launched its new website, www.totalproducefoodservice.ie.

Irish at heart, global by nature, TPFS takes great pride in being able to offer the best of both worlds; local produce sold by local people in local communities and, by virtue of its international infrastructure, the cream of the global crop. With the new website, TPFS aims to introduce visitors to the people behind its produce. The website profiles local growers from across the country, features video tours of their farms and glasshouses, offers an insight into the passion, dedication and hard work that goes into the preparation of premium local produce and introduces some of the personalities that get it to market.

In addition, Total Produce has integrated into the site a new online ordering portal. Developed in-house, the innovative, user-friendly online facility is intended to simplify the ordering process; affording customers 24-hour accessibility, saving customers time, streamlining traceability and reducing paperwork.

For John Cunningham, general manager of Total Produce FoodService, the development of the site represented a logical step. "Totalproducefoodservice.ie represents a further expression of our commitment to transparency, accessibility and convenience across all our operations. But more than that,” he says, “it’s a one-stop shop for anyone interested in Irish produce’s journey from field to fork”.

www.totalproducefoodservice.ie is online now.
