3 New Ryanair Routes at Knock Airport With 60,000 Extra Seats

Ryanair announced today that it will open 3 new routes from Knock to Eindhoven, Glasgow Prestwick & Kaunas from April next yearMinister of State for Tourism & Sport Michael Ring has said the new Ryanair routes are the second significant development since the scrapping of the €3 travel tax in Budget 2014.

“This is further evidence that Budget 2014 was good for tourism and good for aviation. I’m delighted to welcome the announcement by Ryanair today to introduce new UK and European services at Ireland West Airport Knock,” Minister Ring said.

“These flights are also a real boost to the Wild Atlantic Way, the west coast tourism route which will be fully up and running next year. Eindhoven Airport in particular is the ideal location for visitors from the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and western Germany. This is the first route of its kind from those countries, all of which have a strong affinity with the west of Ireland.” the minister added.

Ryanair is negotiating with the other main Irish airports (Cork, Dublin and Kerry) in the hopes to introduce more route and frequency growth from Ireland.
