Aer Lingus Passenger Numbers Rise in September

Aer Lingus passenger numbers grew by 5.3 per cent in September compared to September 2013.

Aer Lingus carried 1.041 million passengers during the month and also increased its load factor by 1.6 per cent to 83.3 per cent compared to last year.

Long haul traffic rose from 108,000 last September to 138,000 this September, an increase of 27.8 per cent. Short haul traffic also increased from 775,000 in September 2013 to 784,000 in 2014, an increase of 1.2 per cent.

Aer Lingus carried 8.69 million passengers in the first nine months of the year, which is an increase of 4.5 per cent on the same period last year.
