Etihad Will Screen Hurling Final Live On Flights

Etihad Airways, the Abu-Dhabi-based airline, will screen next Sunday's All-Ireland Hurling Final live on its flights via its in-flight entertainment system.

The airline is the sponsor of the hurling championship and has a strong presence in Ireland. It will be the first time its commercial passengers can watch a live game.

Beatrice Cosgrove, general manager at Etihad said, "I am sure our guests who can't watch the match on the ground will enjoy the excitement and passion that will be on display live from Croke Park."

RTÉ will provide the live coverage of the final.

President of the GAA Liam O'Neill said he was "delighted to learn of this initiative which will afford people traveling around the world the opportunity to see the showcase event that is the All-Ireland hurling final."

He also commented that, “Hurling in particular is a breath taking spectacle and Etihad Airways has helped us to promote it through our partnership as valued sponsors of the GAA Hurling Championship. ”
