French Flights Take to the Skies Again

The French Air Traffic Control strike has been called off and flights are returning to normal. Ryanair said that all its scheduled flights would operate as normal and that all customers should proceed to their departure airport in time for their flights.

They indicated that there would be some delays in France while the backlog is cleared but that no flights are due to be cancelled.

Aer Lingus also said it plans to operate a full schedule today but that delays were possible.

The strike ended after talks between the Air Traffic Control union and the French government concluded. According to the union, they called off the strike because the government recognised "the importance of investment in the sector".
