A new London-based tourism marketing and representation company, Phoenix Travel Representation, has been launched by Susan Byrne, who worked at Tourism Ireland for 15 years, mainly within the Developing Markets division based in London, working closely with international and UK inbound travel trade.
The new company was established to service the ever-growing need for increased personal contact Island of Ireland tourism industry partners need to maintain with key decision makers and purchasers in the UK travel sector. As personal relationships are nurtured, tourism businesses will grow their business in a cost-effective way from the all-important British and UK inbound (international) markets.
Phoenix Travel Representation offer a unique opportunity to Irish businesses with their excellent range of flexible services, including attending trade events, exhibitions & targeted sales calls exclusively on a client’s behalf, brand representation and product promotion to MICE, Leisure and Golf contractors in the UK.
Fully integrated marketing plans and their delivery on behalf of a client are also a key feature of what is on offer. Services are available on an ad-hoc or one-off basis – with no expensive or lengthy fixed term contracts.
Byrne (pictured) said: "During my time with Tourism Ireland, I saw a huge gap in the market for an ad-hoc representation service ensuring Island of Ireland tourism industry partners are consistent in building and maintaining relationships with key personnel in the UK tourism purchasing sector. One of Ireland’s major brand attributes is the friendliness and warmth of its people, which not only underpins consumer marketing messaging, but is also a very worthy asset to invest in when it comes to travel trade marketing. This is what we pride ourselves in – professional yet highly personable interaction with all clients. With the high costs involved in travelling to & from the UK, and the sheer number of multiple travel trade events taking place at the same time in various locations, Phoenix Travel Representation offer over-stretched Sales & Marketing teams the opportunity to have a flexible ‘Plan B’ in place – taking away the stress and worry of trying to be in 2 places at once."
