Virtuoso, one of the world's leading luxury travel networks, has listed Ireland in number six position of the "hottest" summer travel destinations for 2016.
Irishcentral.com reports that for Virtuoso's American and Canadian members, European destinations are at the top of their travel agendas, with Italy, the United Kingdom and France leading the way in the top three psoitions.
Virtuoso, whose members generate a turnover of $35 billion, recently awarded membership to The Westbury in Dublin, joining their network of some of the world's best travel advisors.

Virtuoso reported that bookings to Ireland have gone up by 58% and Failte Ireland has said that the Irish tourism industry can be optimistic after a good start to 2016.
