The 'Irish Association Of Visitor Experiences And Attractions' Launched

Following the news that the Guinness Storehouse is Ireland's most popular fee-paying tourist attraction, it's been announced that the venue's managing director, Paul Carty, has been named as the chairman of the newly established Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions (AVEA).

Launched at an event attended by Minister for Tourism and Sport Patrick O'Donovan, reports that the purpose of the AVEA is to provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge, information and advice between members as well as offering external support systems and professional insight into the delivery of best practice in customer care, interpretation and service standards.

Fáilte Ireland's director of business development, Paul Keeley, commented: "A compelling portfolio of attractions is crucial to tourism and having a representative group dedicated to greater professionalism and the further development of the sector will enable us to raise our game in terms of visitor experience."
