Lufthansa Group's August Passengers Numbers Rise 2.9%
The Lufthansa Group welcomed more than 14.1 million passengers in August of this year.
This is an increase of 2.9%, the group said, when compared to August of last year.
The group said that its available seat kilometres, a measure of passenger carrying capacity, were up by 1.8% over the previous year.
In addition to this, the group's sales increased by 2.7%.
The Network Airlines, which includes Lufthansa German Airlines, SWISS and Austrian Airlines, carried approximately 10.2 million passengers in August, which was a 3.3% increase on the same period in 2018.
Compared to the previous year, the available seat kilometres increased by 3.1% in August.
