Morrisons' Haycox To Head QD Group Store Operations

Former Morrisons' Operations Controller, David Haycox, has joined value retailer QD Stores Group as Operations Director, spearheading further management changes at the expanding 48-store Eastern Counties chain.     Haycox's 30-year career in retail spans from working at trainee level, to achieving the position of regional manager at Safeway Plc, resulting in 2000 with his undertaking a key role in managing the retailer's corporate stock control and loss prevention needs.   At QD, he will take responsibility of store operations and development at the 48 sites operated by the Norwich-based company across its stores, Cherry Lane Garden Centres, Thingmebob and Lathams store brands.   Commensurate with his appointment, QD has appointed James Collins and Karl Ottolangui as associate directors.   Former Head of Buying and with store management expertise, Collins now takes on the role of Associate Director - Trading at QD. He joined the company in 1997.
