Online Startup Wins Tourism Marketing Award

Online start-up HenorStag.com has good reason to be celebrating after scooping one of Ireland’s most prestigious Tourism Marketing Excellence Awards.

The online party brand HenorStag.com was named overall winner of ‘Best Marketing and Sales’ in the category of ‘Destination Tourism and Hospitality Industry’ at the recent Chartered Institute of Marketing All-Ireland Marketing Excellence Awards.

Commenting on the news Fermanagh man Jonathan Gallagher (29), Co-Founder of HenorStag.com, said that he was "absolutely thrilled to be in business only 8 months and now hold claim to having won Ireland’s most credible tourism marketing award.”

Stiff competition came from some of Ireland’s most successful tourism marketing campaigns including the £1.5 million Backin’ Belfast campaign by Visit Belfast to encourage people back into Belfast amid Union flag protests along with other finalists Ulster Farmers Union with their ‘Plate to Gate Campaign’. Judges were particularly impressed with the execution of the HenorStag.com brand launch despite their shoe-string budget.
