Ryanair Launches New Onboard Menu

Ryanair, Europe’s most prominent low-fares airline, yesterday launched its new onboard menu, which offers a wide range of food, snacks, and hot and cold drinks, along with some other new additions, including a hot breakfast. Customers can find the Getaway Café menu both inside their free Let’s Go with Ryanair inflight magazine and on the airline's new menu cards, which feature budget-friendly monthly meal deals.   Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said "Consumers and visitors already choose Ryanair for the lowest fares, great route-choice and our industry-leading customer service. Now they can look forward to an even more enjoyable flight experience, with the launch of our new onboard menu, including a hot breakfast, making Ryanair the ideal choice for families and friends this summer. Customers can find our new menu inside their complimentary Let’s Go with Ryanair magazine and on our new menu cards."   Since its establishment in 1984, Ryanair has grown from a small airline flying the short journey from Waterford to London into one of Europe's largest carriers. Ryanair now employs over 8,500 members of staff (as of 2012) including over 1,200 pilots. After the rapidly-growing airline went public in 1997, the money raised was used to expand the airline into a pan-European carrier. Revenues have risen from €231 million in 1998, to €1.84 billion in 2003 and €3 billion in 2010. Similarly, net profits have increased from €48 million to €339 million over the same period.
