Teeling Whiskey To Debut In Latin American Market

Teeling Whiskey, an Ireland-based independent Irish whiskey company, has partnered with distributor Monarq Group, in a move to expand its presence to Latin America and the Caribbean.

The company will also expand into the US duty free sector under the agreed terms.

Teeling Whiskey founder Jack Teeling told The Spirits Business, "We look forward to working with the Monarq team and getting our Teeling Whiskey on back bars and shelves in the region."

Monarq Group claims that Teeling Whiskey is an addition to its existing portfolio of leading premium independent premium alcoholic beverage brands.

Teeling Whiskey, which is set to unveil its own Irish whiskey distillery in Dublin, offers bottling that is hand-selected from casks of grain and malt whiskey.

Irish whiskey has witnessed an escalation during recent years, with sales growing above 400% since 2002 and reaching 2.2 million cases in 2012.
