Three Successive Months Of Growth For Shannon Airport

Shannon Airport achieved their third successive month of growth in August.

This follows on from significant increases in June and July of 8% and 9% respectively and is the first time in five years that the airport experienced such growth.

The growth was most apparent in the transatlantic market, with overall passenger throughput arising from the airport’s five US services and one Canadian service, which delivered 38% growth during the peak summer season.

The figures very much reflect the enhanced level of services delivered at Shannon this year which have helped address the decline in traffic that was experienced over the past five years.
