Tourism Ireland Unveils New Tourism Campaign

This week saw  the launch of a new campaign by Tourism Ireland to promote Irish tourism to British travelers through a series of articles about the country in the Saturday travel section of The Daily Telegraph.

As reported by causewaycoastcommunity.co.uk, the campaign kicked off in the May 6 issue of the newspaper with an article entitled "Be A Wild Rover Along Ireland's Dramatic Coast", which put the spotlight on both the north's Causeway Coastal Route and the west's Wild Atlantic Way. The Daily Telegraph's website has also opened an "Indulge in Ireland" hub to serve as a companion to the paper's print campaign.

Tourism Ireland's Deputy Head of Great Britain, Julie Wakley, stated "Our partnership with The Daily Telegraph is another excellent opportunity to highlight our superb driving routes, including the Causeway Coastal Route and the Wild Atlantic Way. Tourism Ireland is actively promoting longer-stay holidays and encouraging travelers to come and discover the island of Ireland by car. Visitors who use a car on holidays tend to stay longer, spend more and are more likely to visit more than one region."
