The news comes after £1m was invested in the hotel in the shape of the Grand Ballroom, lobby and Laganview Suite being refurbished.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, Rajesh Rana, director of Andras Hotels, said: "We are delighted that this next stage of the investment at the Ramada Plaza will soon commence. This refurbishment is design-led, with designers Philip Rodgers providing a unique look that will feature handmade fittings and bespoke items of furniture and lighting."
