Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa in Killarney, Co. Kerry has been sold for over €6 million to an anonymous European investor. The investor is believed to have interests in a number of well-known hotels worldwide.
Property developer Jerry O'Reilly, who has owned the hotel since 1998, sold the hotel in an off-market deal to the new investors and DTZ Sherry Fitzgerald handled the sale. According to the hotel, the sale was made following a number of unsolicited approaches from interested parties.
The hotel is a five-star, 74-bedroom property with a spa, which has won several awards. The hotel has undergone significant redevelopment in the last number of years and it made a profit last year.
The hotel will remain under the same management, business is expected to continue as usual and staff will not be affected.
