Belfast Grand Central Hotel To Open In June 2018
After announcing plans to turn Belfast's former Windsor House office block into Northern Ireland's largest hotel earlier this year, the Hastings Group has revealed that it intends to open the proposed 304-bedroom Belfast Grand Central Hotel during the first week of June, 2018.
As reported by The Irish News, funding for project, which was originally thought to cost approximately £30 million before estimates increased to £53 million, is coming from the company's own cash reserves without any aid from outside investors.
When finished, it's thought that the hotel will generate upwards of 150 new jobs in Belfast. It's also said that its completion will help make the city a more attractive site for international events, conferences and sporting tournaments.
