The Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) has awarded receptionist Madeline Wright their Employee of the Year award at the recently-held IHF Awards.
Madeline works at the Blue Haven Hotel in Kinsale and will act as an ambassador for Cork's tourism industry for the next year.
The event was attended by 300 guests and hosted by the Cork Branch of the IHF at the Marborough Hotel, Cork.
According to the judges, Madeline was chosen for her personality, her spirit and passion for the tourism industry.
The annual award was created to give credit and appreciation to outstanding employees in Cork's Hotel industry.
'Madeline has worked for Blue Haven for nearly seven years and is a much valued member of the team. She always has a smile, cares and makes everyone who comes in the door feel special. She is an incredible lady with exceptional customer care and deserves this award for everything she does. The Blue Haven is proud of Madeline and what she has achieved,' said Ciaran Fitzgerald, general manager of Blue Haven.
