The renowned Mayo resort, Breaffy House, has gone on the market for an asking price of €2.9 million.
The site is located about 5km outside of Castlebar and about 40km from Knock Airport.
The resort dates back to 1860 and includes 106 bedrooms, bar, restaurant and conferencing facilities.

The Breaffy Woods Hotel opened in 2006 with the Breaffy Sports and Events arena attached. At 30,000 square feet, it's Connacht's largest conference venue. It also features a large variety of indoor sports facilities including a soccer arena, basketball court, badminton/tennis courts, 60m running tracks, ice baths and an astroturf pitch.
The Savill's told the Irish Independent that they are sure that the resort will get "strong interest from local, domestic and international investors"
