Brewdog To Open Beer Hotel

Scottish craft brewery, Brewdog, is going ahead with plans for a beer-themed hotel despite not reaching their £25 million crowdfunding target.

Their 'Equity for Punks IV' programme resulted in 42,000 investors raising £19 million, with the money also to be spent on building a bigger brewery, opening more domestic and international bars at a cost of £9 million and to develop a craft distillery.

The hotel, known as The Kennel, will be based close to their brewery in Aberdeen, reports The Scotsman. Currently Brewdog book two dozen rooms every night of the week in nearby Aberdeen-area hotels for staff, salespeople, importers and engineers.

With their brewery recently undergoing expansion, having a hotel nearby will be ideal for those visiting Brewdog headquarters. The companies founders James Watt and Matt Dickie say the hotel will have draught beer on tap in every room, there will be a beer jacuzzi and no two rooms will be the same.
