Bullitt Hotel Set For Riverdance HQ in Dublin

After unveiling plans to build a Bullitt boutique hotel in Dublin earlier this month, it's been announced that Northern Irish hospitality group Beannchor has bought the Dublin headquarters of Riverdance with the intention of transforming the site into the proposed hotel.

Located on Capel Street, the property is also home to television production company Tyrone Productions and is understood to have been purchased for approximately €5 million from Riverdance entrepreneurs Moya Doherty and John McColgan, according to The Irish Times.

Beannchor also bought buildings on nearby Little Mary Street as part of the project and plans to open a 100-bedroom venue in the area by 2019. The proposed hotel represents Beannchor's first venture in the Republic of Ireland and will be based on the Bullitt Belfast, which opened for business last October and takes its name from the 1968 Peter Yates directed drama starring Steve McQueen.
