The Corcoran Family have recently bought the Carlton Atlantic Hotel, Westport, Co. Mayo. The new purchase has secured 50 jobs for the hotel.
Estate agents Savill have reported huge interest in the 4-star hotel. There were apparently both national amd international enquiries on the property.
The hotel holds a total of 85 rooms and went on sale last May. The selling price remains undisclosed. However, it was said to have been well within excess of the guide price of €1.2 million.
“We are delighted with the opportunity to acquire the Atlantic Coast Hotel as it is a superb property in a unique coastal location and will greatly complement the town centre location of our existing hotels,” new owner Joe Corcoran told the Mayo News. The new owners plan on renovating the hotel's bedrooms within the next few months.
