Cork's Westlodge Hotel facing Sale By Tender

The Westlodge Hotel in Bantry, Cork is facing a sale by tender by 5 December.

The 40-year-old hotel was originally put up for sale in April with a guide price of €2 million. Now the receivers are hoping to sell the hotel before the year-end Capital Gains Tax expiry deadline, according to the Irish Examiner.

The 100-bedroom hotel comes with nine self-catering cottages, two bars, two restaurants and a leisure centre complete with a pool. There are also conference and function facilities in The Seafield Centre, which was added in the mid-2000s. There is also further scope for development on the 25 acre property.

DTZ Sherry FitzGerald are handling the sale and are expecting offers by tender around and possibly over the original €2 million guide price.
