DoubleTree by Hilton has celebrated the opening of the latest addition to its growing London portfolio. DoubleTree by Hilton London – Islington, formerly Jury's Inn Islington, is located in the heart of Islington. This hotel, alongside the chain's recently opened Chelsea property, operates under a franchise agreement with Jurys Inn.
John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton said, “Since 2007, the brand has grown from no presence in the UK to nearly 25 properties, with 10 of these in the London area. The DoubleTree brand resonates with the UK traveller by offering a friendly, approachable service experience, which starts with the presentation of our signature, freshly-baked chocolate chip cookie at check-in.” John Brennan, CEO, Jurys Inn, said, “The Double Tree by Hilton franchise provides Jurys Inn access to a broad international customer base. Our hotels’ prime locations as well as Hilton Worldwide’s renowned brand will put us in a strong position to grow revenue as well as continue to deliver stand-out customer service." The Islington property is located close to major transport links and some of London’s top attractions, including Buckingham Palace and the city’s world-class shopping areas. Islington boasts a number of boutiques, restaurants and bars, as well as the famous Emirates Stadium, home to Arsenal Football Club. The hotel has recently undergone a renovation and, from 1 October, will offer 372 bedrooms. The refurbished ground floor includes a contemporary lobby and lounge area incorporating local design features. There is also a gin bar - Bar60 - and The Grill Restaurant. The hotel also features meeting space, a 24-hour complimentary business centre, concierge services, complimentary 24-hour on-site fitness centre and free WiFi throughout the hotel. As with all DoubleTree by Hilton locations, the hotel will participate in the Hilton HHonors guest loyalty program, and members will be able to earn and redeem points with each stay.
