Flynn Hotels Announces €3m Refurbishment Programme

Irish hotel group Flynn Hotels has revealed it has invested €3 million in refurbishment works across the group’s four properties – the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny; the Imperial Hotel, Cork City; Old Ground Hotel, Ennis; and The Park Hotel, Dungarvan.

Speaking about the investment across the hotel group, Flynn Hotels’ Allen Flynn, proprietor of the Old Ground Hotel, said “The secret of success in the hospitality sector is to never stand still. We are consistently reinvesting in our properties and in our great teams, combining superb service, beautifully appointed rooms, fine dining, and excellent facilities. The €3 million refurbishment is an investment in our future, and ensures that our offering across all our hotels is of the highest standard for every single person who comes through our doors.”

Across the group, bedroom upgrades in each property include King Koil Club Pocket luxury beds in every room and newly installed state-of-the-art flat screen, fully interactive, high definition capable in-room entertainment systems. Meanwhile, upgraded bathrooms facilities include rain head showers, heated mirror and towel rails, upgraded luxury towellery from Lissadel, and Orla Kiely bathroom amenities.

The planned programme of refurbishment, which commenced in early 2017, is being undertaken on a phased basis so as to minimise disruption to guests, and is due for completion by May of this year.
