Four New Hotels Earmarked For Belfast With £80m Signature Living Investment

Signature Living proprietor Lawrence Kenwright has announced that he will be creating 350 new jobs in Belfast as part of an £80 million investment scheme that involves the development of four new hotels in the city.

Kenwright told The Belfast Telegraph that he intends to add a total of 500 new bedrooms to Belfast, 150 of which will be at the refurbished Crumlin Road courthouse, with two more, including his long-gestating George Best themed hotel, looking likely to be located in the area of Waring Street. The fourth is set to be incorporated into the Scottish Mutual Building, which Signature Living plans to transform into an 80-bedroom, five-star hotel.

Kenwright asserted his optimism that there will be a rising demand for more accommodation in Belfast in the years ahead, stating that the city "is at the crest of a wave of what is about to come."
