Irish hoteliers can look forward to Christmas bookings not seen since before the recession, according to reports.
The Sunday Business Post has revealed that Dublin's four and five-star hotels in particular have been tipped to enjoy a bumper festive period with the country's luxury hotel sector going through robust growth this year.
Hoteliers are reporting an avalanche of early Christmas bookings, with Dublin's The Shelbourne reporting that it's well ahead of where in was this time last year in terms of Christmas bookings, adding that it will soon be booked out.
Both The Westin Hotel and the Fitzwilliam Hotel in the captial agreed that bookings have improved compared to last year.
The president of the Irish Hotels Federation, Stephen McNally, said the hotel market across the country is going through an encouraging growth spurt after several years in the doldrums.
