Jurys Inn Joins New Hotel Group

The Jurys Inn chain of hotels has become part of Amaris Hospitality, a new hotel investment and hospitality group formed by owners Lone Star.

Amaris Hospitality comprises 89 hotels from four discrete portfolios that Lone Star own, which including trading names such as Jurys Inn, DoubleTree by Hilton, Mercure and McGallery.

According to RTE, the group currently operates 29 Jurys Inn hotels, 21 Mercure hotels, 17 Hotel Collection hotels, 3 Hilton hotels and will add a further 19 provincial hotels under the Thistle brand later this month.

Jurys Inn was taken over by US-based private equity group Lone Star Funds in a deal worth over €900 million earlier this year.

The number of Jurys Inn-branded hotels is expected to rise over the next few years as part of a new strategy. Lone Star has pledged over £100 million in investment for the group in rebranding and refurbishment.
