Jurys Inn Plans £100M Extension in UK

Eight properties owned by Lone Star’s Amaris Hospitality division in the UK will be rebranded under the Jurys Inn brand as part of a £100 million investment by the group.

The Dublin-based management team will rebrand 21 of its 89 properties, according to the Irish Times. Amaris chief executive John Brennan announced the plans this week.

As well as the eight new Jurys, Amaris will extend Accor’s Mercure brand to 11 properties and two Scottish hotels will change to an upscale brand next year. None of the Irish properties will be rebranded.

The £100 million investment brings the total number of Jurys Inn sites in the UK and Ireland to 36. Brennan said the group had “outperformed the market” by two or three per cent for the past few years.

Jurys Inn became part of Amaris Hospitality in July this year, after the brand was bought by Lone Star for over €900 million.
