Kilkenny's Mount Juliet scooped three awards last night at the annual Good Food Ireland Awards. The luxury hotel won the overall Supreme Award along with the Ourstanding Place to Stay Award while their Lady Helen Restaurant won the Restaurant of the Year Award.
The awards were held at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin and was presented by Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
The Taoiseach told the Irish Times that the awards help to make Ireland "synonymous with good food". He added this reputation is "vital" to supporting Ireland's €9 billion of food and drink exports.
