New 81-Bedroom Hotel Planned For Belfast Airport

Developers Moorefield Contracts have unveiled plans for a new £5 million, 81-bedroom hotel at Belfast International Airport.

According to The Irish News, the plans are currently in the pre-application phase and a total of 30 jobs are expected to be generated at the proposed hotel upon its completion.

Commenting on the proposal, Canice Mallaghan of Moorefield Hospitality said, "The demand for more hotel rooms has been created by the growth and success at the International Airport. We are excited by the opportunity to bring forward a new hotel creating a range of jobs in the process. We have secured a leading hotel operator for the development."

The operator in question is understood to be Premier Inn, which currently runs upwards of 750 hotels across the UK.
