New Jobs Planned for Palmerstown House

Palmerstown House and Estate, the hotel and golf resort near Naas, Co. Kildare, has announced that it will create around 100 jobs within the next year.

The Comer Group, which took over the 700-acre estate from Nama 14 months ago, said that 50-full time jobs will be created across the hospitality and leisure business of the estate within the next 12 months.

A further 50 part-time jobs will be created in the lead-up to this Christmas in the estate's "Santa House Express" attraction. The attraction will run for the six weeks before Christmas and the company said it has already sold 7,000 tickets for the attraction.

Nama took control of the estate from the late Jim Mansfield and then developer brothers Luke and Brian Comer took it over last year. Since the takeover, the group has created around 60 jobs on the estate.
