Garret O'Neill Appointed New MD At Tullamore Court Hotel And The Springfield Hotel, Leixlip

The iNUA Collection has announced the appointment of Garret O'Neill as the new managing director of Tullamore Court Hotel and The Springfield Hotel, Leixlip.

O'Neill has held various leadership positions in hospitality including the general manager of Holiday Inn Dublin Airport, where he oversaw the pre-opening and operation of a 421-bedroom hotel.

Background

He also worked as the general manager of Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express Dublin Airport.

In these roles, O'Neill managed the operations of two hotels with a total of 423 rooms and a large conference center.

His repsonsibilities included overseeing the construction of a 100-bedroom extension, refurbishment projects and spearheading sustainable initiatives.

In addition to this, O'Neill has gained experience at establishments such as Johnstown House Hotel & Spa, Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk, Crowne Plaza Hotel Dublin, Westwood House Hotel Galway, Quality Clarinbridge Court Hotel Galway, and Corrib Great Southern Hotel.

At theses hotels, he gained proficiency in financial management, human resources, conference and banqueting, and overall hotel operations.

New Appointment

Meanwhile, iNUA Hospitality has also  announced the appointment of Niamh Walsh as a non-executive director to its board.

Walsh has over two decades of experience in the hospitality sector and her resume includes hotel and resort sales, acquisitions, and valuations.

Multiple Roles

The Donegal woman grew up in the family owned Carrigart Hotel, after her studies in NUIG where she achieved Bachelor of Commerce degree, Niamh returned to her family business where she held multiple roles before working in business development in a manufacturing company.

Property Industry

In 2006, Walsh moved into the property industry taking on the role of chartered surveyor in the Overseas Residential, Retail and Valuation Department of Lisney Real Estate where she worked for 8 years, during this time Niamh completed a Masters in Real Estate.

In 2014, Walsh joined Cushman & Wakefield as associate director where she managed real estate transactions, specialising in hotel and resort properties before starting her own business TDL Horizons, a tourism and hotel property specialists company.
