Profits Increase 18% At Firm That Owns Dublin's Fitzwilliam Hotel

According to new accounts filed with the Companies’ Registration Office, profits at the Michael-Holland controlled Ampleforth, which owns Dublin’s Fitzwilliam Hotel as well as the city’s Bailey bar and Irish Welcome Tours, increased 18% to over €4 million in 2016.

The Irish Times reports that turnover at the firm rose to €12.7 million from €12.5 million in 2015, while pre-tax profits rose from €3.44 million to €4.07 million and operating profits went up from €4.16 million to €4.7 million.

Furthermore, over €10 million of sales in 2016 were attributed to accommodation at the Fitzwilliam Hotel, with Ampleforth’s property being valued at €43.5 million at the end of 2016 and its net assets rising from €22.8 million at the end of 2015 to €26.4 million on December 31 of last year.
