The Sunday Times in the UK has reported that Bank of Ireland has appointed a receiver to the company which owns Derrynane Hotel and Holiday Homes in Kerry.
The report has revealed that the bank appointed Grant Thornton as receiver over the three-star hotel, which was owned by Jerry Reilly, who is the former owner and developer of the high-end Aghadoe Heights hotel in Kerry.
The Sunday Times adds that accounts for the company indicates that the bank was owed just over €3.2m at the end of 2013.
Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa in Killarney was sold for over €6 million to an anonymous European investor in the middle of last year.
