The Skeffington Arms Hotel, Galway has made a €4.13 million settlement with the Revenue Commissioners after an investigation of its affairs.
The investigations found that the firm that runs the hotel had underdeclared PAYE/PRSI, corporate tax, stamp duty and VAT.
The Irish Times reported that €1.8 million of tax went underdeclared and the total settlement included interest of €951,744 with a penalty of €1.36 million.
