Major Fire Breaks Out In Well-Known Tallaght Pub

By Publications Checkout

Dublin Fire Brigade were called to The Cuckoo's Nest on Greenhills Road in Tallaght last night after a major fire broke out in the rear of the pub. After receiving the first 999 call at 22:15pm, four fire engines had the fire under control at 23:04pm.

Speaking to the Irish Independent, a spokesperson for the group said: "We had five units at the scene which was under control by about 11:30pm. We had cleared the scene at the empty building by midnight. The fire was at a unit within the bar complex."

There were no reported injuries and currently it is unclear what caused the fire in The Cuckoo's Nest, which has been a derelict building since closing its doors in May 2015.
