Town Square Restaurant And Hotel In Belfast To Expand

Peter Ringland, the owner of popular Belfast cafe, restaurant and hotel, Town Square, is to open a new 80-seater bar this week.

The bar will be adjacent to the Town Square cafe, taking over the premises previously held by the Metro bar on Lower Crescent. It will serve craft beer, wine and cocktails, resulting in the creation of up to 20 jobs, reports the Belfast Telegraph.

Ringland said the new bar will target the 20-40 year-old demographic and carry on the Town Square theme as well as "some of the ideas from places like Shoreditch in London and San Francisco".

Town Square only opened last November but has been "pretty much full every day" for lunch and had a "great summer with the tourists and now the students are coming back," said Ringland.
