Radisson Blu Hotel Galway Sold For An Estimated €50m
Galway's Radisson Blu hotel and spa has been acquired by a partnership between the MHL Hotel Collection and hotelier/developer Jerry O'Reilly, who has been a joint-owner of the Radisson Blu Galway since its opening in 2001.
According to The Irish Times, while the exact financial details of the sale remain undisclosed, it is estimated that the partners paid in the region of €50 million.
Commenting on the acquisition, Paul Higgins of MHL. said: "MHL Hotel Collection is delighted that the Galway Radisson Blu is joining our collection. This is one of the finest hotels in the west of Ireland, and we look forward to working with customers and staff to further enhance its market leading position."
The Radisson Blu was built by developer Bernard McNamara and has 261 rooms and suites.
MHL Hotel Collection's stable of hotels includes The Westin, The Intercontinental, The Trinity City, The Spencer, The Morgan, The Beacon, The Hilton Dublin City in the capital, plus the Harbour Hotel and Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Golf Resort in Galway, and the Limerick Strand Hotel in Limerick city.
