Dublin-born Neil Murray (pictured) has been named the first regional chairman for Sodexo UK and Ireland.
Sodexo UK and Ireland, part of global services giant Sodexo Group, is the company's third largest region in terms of turnover after the USA and France with 34,000 staff and over €1.8 billion in annual revenues for the last financial year.
Forty-one-year-old Murray, who has a background in engineering, joined Sodexo in 2009 overseeing the corporate services business and the development of Sodexo’s IFM capability, in particular the integration of the Atkins asset management business which the company acquired in 2011.
Margot Slattery remains country president for Sodexo in Ireland and will report into Murray, who has a dual role as regional chairman and CEO for the Sodexo UK and Ireland's Corporate Services business.
Murray commented: "I am delighted and very proud to take on this new role within the Sodexo Group. Overseeing one of the Groups’ key regions is very exciting, and with the Republic and Northern Ireland business continuing to successfully grow under Margot’s excellent leadership. I look forward to regular trips to see the team and to meet our clients as well as the chance to visit family who are still in Dublin."
