Irish 50s-style diner Eddie Rockets is set to expand its operations in Europe, with outlets in Germany and Spain, according to the Sunday Business Post.
Owner Niall Fortune is hoping to open 100 new restaurants in Ireland, the UK and Europe by 2018. He expressed that the preferred method of expansion would be through multi-unit franchises.
Eddie Rockets will also seek €2 million in funds through crowd-funding to open a further 20 outlets in Ireland. The campaign will start within the next three months, aiming to earn €100,000 for each new restaurant.
An Eddie Rockets opened in Newry last year, marking the first restaurant outside of the Republic.
